Bouncing Back From Redundancy Workshop

Context

Some four years after the global financial bubble burst, some 1,500 UK employees are still being made redundant every day. Redundancy and changing jobs are now a part of working life and there is nothing to be feared by redundancy and a potential change in direction. The fact of the matter is that redundancy is an occupational hazard that is increasingly prevalent in all sectors of employment, and anyone who goes through their entire career without once being exposed to the threat of redundancy is likely to be among the minority.

Despite these facts, being made redundant is a very personal thing. Even if you are one of an entire department that has been let go, the feeling of being surplus to requirements and not being needed will inevitably surface at some point. Picking yourself up and moving on is a very difficult process, but also an essential one – and the sooner you start the better.

Aim of the workshop

This workshop and accompanying handbook will provide delegates with everything they need to know about making the right career choice following redundancy. The session will provide practical advice on moving on that will allow delegates to identify the positives in their situations, and utilise them, in order to move on to the next stage of their careers. Delegates that attend the course will leave equipped with a plan of action to tackle their redundancy and turn the situation to their advantage.
