How to Manage Stress and Increase Well-being:Courses available


Managing work related stress and well-being is the responsibility of everyone in an organisation: senior managers set the tone and culture, line managers determine how well designed and managed workload is, and all employees need to ensure that as far as they are able, they are fit to do their work.

1 - 2 day training for senior managers and/or line managers to ensure they are aware of their roles and responsibilities in managing stress and well-being in their teams. Further information can be found here.

Half day in depth training for line managers in the CIPD behaviour competencies to promote positive manager behaviour and to increase managers’ awareness of their own behaviour and its potential impact on work related stress and well-being. Please click here for further information on this course. 

1 day training for employees in understanding what stress is, what well-being is and how they can develop strategies to help them deal with pressures and demands to avoid them causing stress. Further details can be found here.

Stress and well-being assessments covering the HSE Management Standards approach, including gathering and analysis of data and evidence from employees, feedback of the results, help and advice in drawing up action plans, advice on how to implement and monitor action plans and reviewing the effectiveness of action plans. Globis also offers 1 to 1 sessions on stress and well-being management, using a model based on brief CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), which helps individuals deal with specific events which may have the potential to cause stress e.g. interviews, giving presentations, taking exams.
