Reducing stress in the workplace – What you need to know
For workers everywhere, the situation with the economy may feel like an emotional roller coaster. With budget cuts and redundancies people have increased fear, uncertainty, and higher levels of stress.
- Reducing work related stress results in happier, more effective and productive individuals and teams.
- People’s emotions rub off on each other and can affect working relationships and performance.
- National Stress awareness day is on Wednesday 3rd November, this year’s campaign is “Stressing the Positives”
This session will provide an outline of the four main principles for managing stress (Humanitarian, Economic, Legal and Public Image), some tips on reducing individual stress and the effect of managers' behaviour on the stress levels of their teams.
